The Goal is a Happy Horse!!
Let's Face it, a 1200lb animal isnt going to do anything it doesn't want to do!  At least not well.  To a degree, you can force a horse to perform as you desire, but you will lack the sparkle that makes for a truly special horse.

I strongly believe that for a horse to perform well, it needs to trust, respect and enjoy the company of the rider.  For this reason, I never promise to have a horse trained in a specific time period.  Some horses trust easily and want to please from the start and are easy to train, others need more convincing and forcing them results all too often in accidents and bad experiences that set you back even further.

I most commonly deal with problems caused by rider error and enjoy these training sessions as I can give the rider insight and exercises for continued progress which is so much more effective than sending the horse to be "fixed" and then continuing the same behaviors that caused the problem in the first place!

At this time, I offer only limited full training due to my "real" job.  However, I am always able to make time to work with the horse and rider to improve their relationship and understanding of each other and ride horses who dont seem to be improving.
